Halloween Camp 2017

This year, we will be running a special Halloween themed camp for children on from the week of 31st October  – 3rd November (mid-term break.)

“In partnership with the adult, children will develop and nurture their sense of wonder and awe”- Aistear: Well-being, Aim 3, learning Goal 3.

Children who are currently in our School Age Club, Junior & Senior Pre-school or Junior & Senior Montessori are always included in the camp activities as part of their routine. We have limited space for others and if you would like to attend the Halloween Camp, please contact the main office on 051 353 913.

The schedule for Activities is as follows:

Monday 30th
Bank Holiday

Tuesday 31st

Safety Workshop for Halloween: “Have Fun & Stay Safe”. Making witches brew, painting spiders, ghost bowling. Snap Apple, Bobbing for apples, Search for Spiders. Fancy dress as you wish!  You can Dare to Scare!  Boo!

Wednesday 1st

Creating a giant spider web to play Spider Web Games. Mummy Run! (Relays, running, obstacle run…) Make your own Slime competition. Win Skidoos with ‘The Best Recipe’!  (Children will be given ingredients and will work together measuring, weighing and combining to get the slime just right!)

Thursday 2nd

Pyjama Party – bring your PJs, dressing gown, slippers and of course your teddy! We’re setting up a Board Game Club for the day so you are welcome to bring your favourite game. Bring in some old sheets ‘cos we’re building a WCC City Camp too!  Bring your torches!  You might need light in your den!

Friday 3rd

Take Away Friday!  Preparing our menu, setting up our restaurant, creating and designing table cloths, colouring chef hats, deciding who’s doing what… Waiter, Maître d’, chef, Pot Washer.

Sitting down to enjoy our Take Away!  Mmmmm!

Please remember…Wear play clothes suited to the activities listed & bring in a spare set of labelled clothes. The activities’ schedule may vary from playroom to playroom.
